Video Link

Background/Purpose

Procedure

Patient is seated with their arms at their side. The clinician applies about 7 kg of pressure to the middle 1/3 of the upper arm by squeezing with their hand.
The patient is asked to note their pain on a scale of 0 (no pain) and 10 (most severe pain). The squeeze pressure is also applied on the acromioclavicular and anterolateral-subacromial area. The test is considered as positive when the score is 3 points or higher on pressure on the middle third of the upper arm compared with to the other two areas (difference between results in middle third of the upper arm area and in the AC joint and subacromial area).
Performed: Unilaterally
