Background/Purpose
Procedure
This test will assess (anterior) hip mobility in a non-weight bearing position.
Patient lies supine on table with one hip and knee flexed and stabilized and the other passively lowered off the edge of the table. Goal is 10 degrees of hip extension. Also make sure hip does not abduct and knee does not extend.
A fail may indicate a hip joint or tissue dysfunction involving mobility or stability. A pass may indicate a core stability dysfunction.
Performed: Unilaterally
